Tender preparation & invitation to tender
The basis for fair and secure works contracts
A clean tendering process determines the cost, quality, and risk of a construction project. We prepare the tendering of construction works in a structured way — from the tendering strategy through the bill of quantities to a traceable award recommendation. The works contract is concluded by the client or general contractor; we supply the robust basis for the decision.
Our tendering services (AHO action area E)
- Tendering strategy: defining the tender packages and procurement type, the tendering schedule
- Bills of quantities: preparing or reviewing bills of quantities and tender documents per trade
- Invitation to tender: structured solicitation and formal review of bids
- Bid review & price comparison: arithmetic and technical review, price-comparison schedule, plausibility check
- Tender negotiations: preparing and accompanying bidder meetings
- Award recommendation: a traceable, documented recommendation as a decision basis for the client
Awarding the trades
Typical tender packages range from the shell and facade through building services (technical building equipment, TGA) and interior fit-out to outdoor works. We structure the awarding of trades so that interfaces are clearly regulated and subcontractor risks are minimised.
Boundary: preparation, not contract conclusion
We prepare the tender and make recommendations — the contracting decision and the conclusion of the works contracts rest with the client or with the general contractor, who holds the works contracts and performs the construction works. This separation safeguards transparency and independence. Note: we do not provide case-by-case legal advice. The legal review and drafting of the contracts is carried out by the client or their legal adviser.
